Desktop Studies (DTS) Pre Survey Route Assessment
Desktop route assessment studies are necessary when choosing the safest and most efficient route for a cable or pipeline project.
Our knowledge and experience performing hydrographic surveying and mapping for marine cable and pipeline projects give us an advantage when performing these route assessment studies. We work closely with the route engineer so that nothing is left to speculation.
We investigate and make note of all available sources of information along the route including navigation charts, geological resources, existing petroleum, fishing, and cable information along with any other information on obstructions, man-made or otherwise. This information is referenced on the survey charts, GIS shape files and in the final Desktop Study.
